Following the appointments of a new CEO, Dirk Hahn, and my appointment as CTO in September, a new technology operating model and senior leadership team is being created to manage the technology environment globally for the first time and to support Hays’ ambition to be the global leader in its industry. It’s an exciting time to be at Hays, with a CEO-driven environment for change in place, and a clear mandate for the global technology transformation.
The technology strategy is to converge the longstanding federated technology operating model from a people, platform, and process perspective; to leverage best in class capabilities of third-party SaaS systems for standard activities where suitable solutions exist, and to focus our digital innovation capability on solutions that will drive differentiation.
We’re creating senior roles that will be instrumental in developing a new multi-year strategy and roadmap to refresh and standardise our technology capabilities and to leverage emerging technologies, such as Gen AI and automation. There is also a significant focus on utilising and managing our significant data assets which lie at the heart of the business to drive insights and competitive advantage.
A key element of these new strategic roles will be to facilitate a culture of innovation, and to ensure that technology decisions are closely aligned with business needs and designed to optimise the customer experience.
